I couldn’t find much on Joseph.
According to the New York State Death index Joseph died in Alden, New York. Alden is about a 35 minute drive due east down Broadway from the funeral home.
There were some Buffalo city directories that listed him. Here is what I found:
1898 110 Beck St Laborer 5 blocks west of the funeral home. Currently, this is the Stadnitski Gardens 100 Beck St, Buffalo, NY 14212.
1913-15 1265 Broadway 7 blocks south east of the Funeral home. This is now the Golden Garden Chinese Restaurant with an upstairs apartment.
1918-19 241 Sears St. 6 blocks south west of the funeral home. This is now a driveway for the abandoned Buffalo Public School 57. The school was originally built in 1897 with an addition put on in 1913. Both were demolished in 1947 for the current building that was closed in 2003.
All of these addresses are within a few blocks of family at the time. I found no relationship to him but it is more likely he was a friend of the family.
