Frank Zielinski

Frank Zielinski died the year I was born.

He was born November 29, 1903.  I haven’t found a location for his birth.  He lived in the east side of Buffalo, New York.  Most of the Polish immigrants to the area arrived before 1900.  So I expect he was born in the Buffalo, New York area.

In 1934 he married Mary Chalecki in Buffalo, New York.  Interesting to note in the obituary that his children too his wife’s name instead of his.

This is another case of no no records I can trust.  I saw many Frank Zielinski in my searches but most had the wrong death date or a location that made no sense.

Stephen B. Spunt

img20190324_21513214

Stephen Spunt was born October 1, 1912 in Manhattan, New York.  I haven’t found any US or New York State census records on him for 1910 – 35.  I do know at age 62 he filed for Social Security.

On May 30, 1938 he married Helen Zmitrewiez in Buffalo, New York.  In the year prior to the 1940 census he made 1600 working 52 weeks.  He worked at a chemical company.  He and Helen were renting their home at the time.

In the 1950s the couple lived at 860 South Park in Buffalo, New York.  Stephen was a machinist and millwright.

This is another prayer card I believe is from my mother’s additions to the pile.  Again, I expect she knew him through work.

Ella M. Loibl

img20190324_21524771

Born Ella Kratzke on September 18, 1917 in New York State.  She married Joseph Loibl on September 27, 1947 in Buffalo, New York.

That’s all I could find that I trusted as good information.  I found another Ella that in 1927 was employed as a winder.  That would mean she was ten years old and listed separately from her family in the city directories.  I doubt it was the same person but probably a relative.

With so little information I couldn’t find any connection to my ancestors.

O merciful heart Jesus, contain
Sacrament, be steadfast with love for the poor soul, be merciful to the humble soul. Do not go to judgment so strictly, for the sake of your mercy and your spilled blood O beloved Jesus end your angels and lead the poor soul to the place of peace and light. Amen.

May the poor, departed soul rest in peace through God’s love. Amen.

Adeline Rachwal Rogacki

Adeline Rachwal was born September 20, 1928.  Her parents were Konstantine 40 and
Casimera 32. In 1930 she was the youngest of five children.  Her siblings were Matthew 10, Blanch 8, Alice 6, and Irene 3.  They lived at 254 Zimmerman Road in Boston, New York a southern suburb of Buffalo, New York.

Ten years later they were still living in Boston, New York now on Keller Road. The family added  Dolores 9 and Donald 8.

Adelin married Freder D. Rogacki on November 28, 1953 in Cheektowaga, New York. They lived at 121 Alpine Place in Cheektowaga, New York.

Again this is another prayer card my mother added to the collection.  BUT, this is the first with an actual connection to the family.  This is my Aunt Irene Alajko’s sister.  Irene Rachwal married my Uncle Edmund Alajko.

Richard E. Kornowicz

img20190324_21585530

Richard Edward Kornowicz was born August 27, 1944.  His parents were Francis E Kornowicz and Irene Rita Gorski.  I found no siblings for Richard.  They lived in West Seneca, New York a south and east suburb of Buffalo.

In 1960 he was a student at St Francis High School in Athol Springs, New York.  It has been a very popular high school among those that went to a Catholic Grade School.  I couldn’t find if he did, but it is a good chance he went to 14 Holy Helpers Grade School in West, Seneca.

After high school he enlisted in the Air Force on October 12, 1962.  He was released from service on 30 Sep 1966.

Richard  married Sheila A Maloney on September 30, 1967.  I found no children for the couple.

I have no idea the connection to my family.  This is a prayer card my mother added to the collection.  I don’t remember this name.  It may have been someone she knew from work.
