Souvenir Card

Normally I would do a bunch of research on the person in the prayer card. This is a souvenir card that I translated. This time I felt like going into the oddness of translations to English. I will be adding notes to the translation that went through my head while reviewing going through this.

Psalm 39 I don’t understand this but found the 7th line of Psalm 39 goes “And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.” and this sounds better.

Maryanna Dzierzanowska

Sadly, I found very little information I trusted as correct. There are too many Maryanna Dzierzanowska in Buffalo, NY. That was not something I expected to see.

I saw records for Maryanna with birth and death dates too far off to be close to correct. Also, I don’t know if this is a married name. This is a person that needs to have onsite research done. A quick online search is not enough.

I don’t know much about her but someone in my family did.

Wednesday Debrief

I’ve had a lot going on lately and have not been able to work on the Prayer Card Project. Instead, I took the easy way out this week and posted an actual family picture.

This picture must have been taken lake 1960s. Probably, 1968 or 69 based on the clothes and the size of the tree that was cut down in the mid 1980s. This was the back yard at 18 Newton St..
