Kazimierz J. Zaborowski

At first he was hard to track down until I started playing with Americanizing his name.  Casimer and Casimir were found with a lot more information relating to a Buffalo area Zaborowski.  The birth years I found range from 1894 to 1896 which is very close to the age of 35 in 1932.

His parents are listed as George and Victoria Zaborowski on the US Census.  He was the oldest of six children.  In 1910 Anna Machowiz 19 was listed as the family servant.

At the age of 21 in 1916 he enlisted in the National Guard for the 1916 Mexican Punitive Campaign.  He was a Private in the 3rd Field Artillery.  On July 23, 1917 he mustered in the New York National Guard as a corporal.

In 1932 he still lived with his parents and some siblings at 132 Peck Street on Buffalo’s east side.  Two years later he died.

Having his address listed on the prayer card was a big help determining the name spelling difference was very likely the same person.
